Privacy Agreement

This Privacy Agreement ("Agreement") is provided by getmanage.app (operating the Service in Hong Kong, "we", "us", or "our") and explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal data in compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) ("PDPO") when you use our web application (the "Service") for booking management. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Information

We may collect the following personal information:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and password when you create an account.
  • Booking Information: Service type, date, time, and service provider details related to appointments.
  • Payment Information: Payment details processed through third-party payment processors. We do not store full credit card numbers.
  • Admin Portal Data: Business details, availability schedules, and other information provided by service providers.

Non-Personal Information

  • Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited.
  • Cookies: We use cookies to remember preferences and improve experience. You may disable cookies in your browser, but some features may be affected.
2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service (including booking processing and account management).
  • Communicate with you (confirmations, reminders, support).
  • Process payments via third-party providers.
  • Analyze usage and enhance user experience.
  • Comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Third-Party Service Providers: Trusted partners for payment processing, hosting (including MariaDB databases), analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), and customer support — all under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or government authority.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
4. Data Security
  • We implement industry-standard measures including encryption in transit and secure storage in MariaDB.
  • No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Your Rights and Choices
  • Access & Correction: You have the right under the PDPO to access and correct your personal data. Requests can be made via the portal or by contacting us.
  • Deletion: Request account deletion by contacting us (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection/Restriction: Object to or request restriction of certain processing.
  • Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from non-essential emails via the unsubscribe link.
  • Cookies: Manage preferences in your browser.
  • Complaints: You may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD) at www.pcpd.org.hk.
6. Data Retention
  • We retain data as long as necessary to provide the Service and meet legal obligations.
  • Booking and payment records may be kept longer for accounting and dispute resolution.
7. International Data Transfers

Your data is primarily processed in Hong Kong, but may be transferred outside for hosting or third-party services. We take reasonable steps (including contractual safeguards) to ensure equivalent protection.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Agreement. Changes will be posted here with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
